Sapphire is a new type of hop launched in 2000. It is a bold attempt of the transformation of German hop by breeding new varieties with numbers 87/17/20 and 80/56/6.
Sapphire aroma is very soft, floral and fruity fragrance, and has subtle citrus, citronella, strawberry, juniper and black tea fragrance, storage is very good, enough to rival the traditional noble hop. Sapphire is perfect for brewing Pilsner, German lager and Belgian wheat beer.
