Peco, or ADHA871, is a new and premium hop developed by the dwarf hop association of America and launched in 2016. In Finnish mythology, Peco was a god of land and crops.
Peco has a clean and complex aroma, featuring pure pineapple and fresh peach, as well as melon, mint, herbs, fresh lemon, floral and pickle notes. The complex aroma makes Peco suitable for most beer types, especially for New England IPA dry draft.
High-alcohol dry wine, Peco offers tropical fruit notes such as mango, pineapple and domineering peach, complementing the yeast notes. As the alcohol level rises, it still releases a lot of nutty fruit, but tropical fruit notes intensify. It is very rare to see a light cucumber taste in a crisp, low - alcohol wine.
