Mosaic is a hybrid hop produced by HBC in 2012. A cross between the male parent derived from Simco and Nuquette.
Mosaic is very high in formic acid and low in humulone. The aroma is dominated by tropical fruits such as citrus, with distinct herbaceous, blueberry, floral and earthy notes. The aroma is complex and layered.
The combination of aroma and body is very good, the aroma is stable and long lasting, which is one of the characteristics of mosaics.
Mosaic brews all types of beer with excellent dry casting. Xichu + Mosaic is another classic combination for brewing cloudy IPA.
